Blended UEFA C in Spain: online hours, exam and price by federation

Spain's football federations are organised by region rather than nationally, so each one runs its own UEFA C course. In the calls we reviewed, "blended" does not mean a watered-down course: it means theory is taught online or through a virtual campus — by video call, virtual classroom or recorded sessions, depending on the federation — while field practice at a federated club and, when the call specifies it, the final exam stay in person.

What never changes is who issues the qualification. The UEFA C licence is processed by your regional federation under the RFEF's training programme, and the final document does not record whether you took the theory from home or in a classroom: it enables the same categories, with the same validity, regardless of class format.

That does not mean every call is the same. Some federations run a UEFA C with a heavier online component than others, and several keep it 100% in person. The only way to know is to check your federation's official listing before enrolling — which is why we cross-checked the verified data in the table below.

There is no single national listing: each regional federation publishes its own call separately, sometimes behind a login-only portal. Here we gathered the data we could verify against an official source; where a federation does not detail the exact format, we say so instead of assuming it. Last reviewed: September 2026, for the 2026/27 season.

Outside this table, three federations document a 100% in-person UEFA C, with no online part: Extremadura (€300), La Rioja (€350) and Cantabria (€295), all three capping justified absence at 10%. The remaining federations — Madrid, Galicia, the Basque Country, Murcia, Castilla-La Mancha, Castile and León, Asturias, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, among others — publish price and venue but do not state whether there is an online part: before enrolling, ask your federation in writing or check RutaMister's open-calls tracker.

Whatever the online-hours split, practice at a federated club is mandatory in every call, usually through a trainee coaching licence processed alongside your enrolment — though the point at which you need a club varies. In Catalonia, the FCF requires it from day one as part of its dual training (the placement block, called ABR, exists for any UEFA licence, not only dual ones); in Valencia, the FFCV applies the same dual requirement from the start. In the rest of the federations in the table, club registration comes with the practice placement and each call sets its own timing.

The final exam or assessment does not depend on format either: in the calls that detail this point, it takes place in person alongside field practice, even when all the theory was taken remotely. And there is a paperwork requirement common to all of them: to work with minors you need a negative certificate for sexual offences, required regardless of whether the course is in-person, blended or online.
