What is the difference between Técnico Deportivo and UEFA Licence?
Both are professionally equivalent in Spain, but have different origins:
  • Sports Technician: Ministry of Education academic title. TD Level 1 = UEFA B, TD Level 2 = UEFA A, TD Level 3 = UEFA Pro.
  • UEFA Licence: Federation accreditation (RFEF/UEFA). Faster and cheaper.

To become a coach in Spain, the minimum requirements are a High School Diploma (ESO) and obtaining a Sports Technician Title or a UEFA License (C, B, A, Pro). These qualifications must be issued by the RFEF or centers authorized by the Ministry of Education.
How much does a grassroots football coach earn in Spain?
