Minimum qualification per category
Minimum qualification under Article 127 of the RFCYLF General Regulations, in the edition updated on 23 July 2026. The Castilian-Leonese bar is among the highest in Spain: men's senior football at autonomous level requires UEFA A; UEFA B covers all women's football plus youth and below; and UEFA C qualifies you for any category at provincial level, senior included.
Three particularities from the same Regulations: a degree in Sport Science (CAFD) qualifies by itself at UEFA A level (art. 127.2); students enrolled in the UEFA C course can obtain the trainee coach licence (EPR) and coach in provincial competitions while studying; and every licence requires the Update and Recycling Certificate, renewable every three years (art. 128).
